Started in Ile-Ife in 2016 as the Nigerian Social media Summit, the summit has held in Ibadan(2017), Abuja(2018 and 2019).
The Social media summit has evolved into the Pan-African Social media summit in its Fifth edition.

With the growing importance of the Social Media in development of Africa, the summit aims to Xray various topics and issues around leveraging on the Social Media for the Continent's development.

The Pan-African Social Media Summit with Nigeria at the Center also aims to proffer solutions to various economic and socio-economic issues leveraging on Technology.

It is an event by the TechMirror Magazine, a tech discovery and celebration publication based in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

The Nigerian Social media summit(now Pan-African Social Media Summit) has led to evolution of ideas such as the Digital Literacy Advocacy Club that has successfully reached over 8000 young Nigerians as at this time.
This has enabled Digital literacy spread, job creation, entrepreneurship, Socio-economic consciousness in Nigeria among others.

The summit also berthed Africa's first Tech celebration and Discovery Magazine in October 2019, leading to many platforms getting showcased through the Magazine.

The summit has also led to many young Nigerians leveraging on the Social media for sustainable living. These gains will be pushed for Pan-African Development.

ABOUT THE 2020 Pan-African Social Media Summit

  • The 2020 event will feature top sessions, discussions and activities.
  • A special edition of the TechMirror Magazine featuring young/Adult Africans who have leveraged on Technology/Social media for Nigeria and Africa's development especially amid Covid-19.
  • The summit is scheduled for November 12 and 13.
  • Due to the Covid-19 impact, there will be restrictions on the physical event which will hold in Abuja.
  • November 12 will be for a physical event that will be streamed Online while
  • November 13 will be strictly an Online event.
